Hi, I have a dell laptop with no serial port, can I use a USB to DB9 Adapter to use for connecting Radio programming cables to program radios through the USB Inputs.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks

This has been covered many times over. USB-to-serial converters are flakey, and a crap-shoot at best. Some computer/converter configurations seem to work ok for some, while not for others.
Your best bet is to get a PCMCIA serial card...this gives your laptop a real serial port, and is much more compatible. Quatech & SIIG are two brand names which come to mind.

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
