XTL5k O3 with Siren Box

Post by jmfirefighter20 »

I've searched but can't seem to find a good answer as to if this setup will work or not:

High power XTL5k with O3 head, siren/PA amp, and NO DEK. Can the siren be controlled directly from the O3 head, like it could be controlled from a W9?

Thanks,
Joshua

I don't have personal knowledge of this but I understand you can only do the air horn.

We had requests to run the lights, air horn, and siren from either O5 heads and O3 heads w/o DEK box.

After much monkeying, only came up with VIP plug to a 12V relay to trigger the air horn. In the end they found it more useful to have the feature linked to their garage door opener.

No it can't. You either have to run the 1439 siren with the DEK or by rigging your own grounding circuits.
