They are two completely different distibutions and are incompatible with each other.

RSS is DOS based while CPS is Windows based.

basically when you read a previously RSS codeplug with CPS, CPS rearanges it rendering it unreadable with any previous versions of software. Each version of CPS rearanges the codeplug data a little more. Basically, if you're a genius you might be able to aquire an s-record, and do a few things to make it readable in RSS but like i said.. genius..

There are some "reverse compatabilities" out there - that relate back to the earlier version of the astro software - 1.x,2.x --- up to 3.0 are backwards compatable with 9.5. However, going above 3.0 terminated this compatability.

So, yes, in some very limited instances - sure. But for the most part - read with cps, write from cps to radio, radio is now only adjustable with CPS.
