Here is the radio:
D04UJH9PW7AN
566ALZ****
Firm: 11.00.01.00
DSP: N07.03.06
Flash: 45B008-0C1800-2
Internal Hwd: 000B
Package: G51
Here is the question:
This radio will not program when using either a 1015C or D SmartRib (radio communications fail). Any regular RIB will programm it just fine.
All of the programming set up is proven to work fine with all other radios, using 05.02 CPS and this radio works flawlessly in every other respect.
Just wondering why.
Thanks

Re: Astro Spectra Programming Question
Are you using RSS or CPS?..... It sounds like you are using XTS3000 CPS to try to program a Astro Spectra.....
Re: Astro Spectra Programming Question
I see no mention of that. How did you come to this conclusion, I'm curious?SYNTORX71MAN wrote:It sounds like you are using XTS3000 CPS to try to program a Astro Spectra.....
Man, that is one jacked up flashcode...fail999 wrote:Here is the radio:

What kind of cable are you using to go from the SmartRIB to the radio, and where on the radio are you plugging it on?
I've used both a C and D revision SmartRIB to do regular programming on an Astro Spectra many a time with no problems.

Re: Astro Spectra Programming Question
Well, as the original post says I'm using Astro Spectra CPS, 05.02
Rib to radio cable is standard /\/\ Spectra cable.
Yeah, it is a "funny flash" it's what came in the Vocon I stuck in this radio.
Programming cable goes to the 15 pin rear connector. As this is a "D" model radio it's the only place to put it.
As I said the radio works perfectly on both Tx and Rx so it is just a wierd occurance I was trying to figure out.

Re: Astro Spectra Programming Question
Is it a moto OEM or an aftermarket cable? Something in the foggy wastes of my brain suggests that perhaps there's a few differences in the pinouts of the 25 pin on the SmartRIB that an OEM cable would take into account but an aftermarket one might not?

Re: Astro Spectra Programming Question
Well, everybody who asked what cable are you using hit the target.
Batlabs home brew cable will not work.
Factory cable works just fine. If I get time I'dd disect the factory cable and see what's up.
Thanks all,
