Compaq 486 LTE Elite 475/C HT600 P200 problem

I have the above laptop that works fine on Maxtracs, JT1000 etc.
I cannot get it to work with P200 or HT600.
The RSS runs fine but I get serial bus error 016
The laptop has com 1 and 2. I have run the compaq setup and tried assigning the serial port to both.
I have tried both com ports in the rss setup.
Ver B02.03.02 HT600, ver 2.03.01 P200
The laptop has a built in mouse, could that be conflicting??

The last version of HT600 RSS released was R03.01.01 on 4/3/2001. The last version of P200 V/UHF RSS released was R03.01.00 on 7/26/01. Since your software versions are somewhat older than the last versions released which had double timing loops to account for faster processors, I'd say offhand that you're trying to use a PC that's too fast for the S/W versions you're trying to use.

I've run the later version of HT600/P200 on a PII/400 running PC-DOS 7 with no trouble. If you cannot locate the newer version (as all RSS is NLA from Mexirola), then you may have to dig around and find a 386-33 or 486-25.
