Hello.
I am drawing a blank on the correct setting to use...
HT1250 and CDM series radios...When alert tones (a/b) being brodcasted, after the initial second or so, you can no longer hear the tones...it mutes out, then once the tones are completed, the voice is fine and so on. The only issue is that the tones mute out during broadcast.
Where and what is the setting so this is NOT muted.
Thank you.

There is no such setting for muting QC-II tones. The only thing that some agencies do is send the tones in CSQ so users with a PL/DPL equipped radio don't have to listen to the annoying tones. The CDM and HT can be programmed to accept signalling without PL/DPL despite the channel being programmed with one. This is the only thing you can do that remotely matches what you are looking for.

Re: ht1250 & cdm1250 muting issues...
I want to say that once the radio decodes the tones and it knows the tones being broadcast are for it, the radio mutes until after the last tone ends. I haven't done a whole lot with QC though but I seem to remember this happening.

That would be nice but it does not do any such thing.
