Im looking at an XTS3000 1 model ( no display, or keypad) my question is, can I have it programmed up the same as my XTS1500 1.5 model.
( 3 zones, 14 or so chan each zone )
What I have in mind is to use the XTS3000 in an AVS ( Convert a Com ), which has the display mic.
will the Basic 3000work with 3 zones ( A, B, C ) even though ther is no display?
Thanks

Re: XTS3000 800 Question
Yes, you can program the ABC switch to Zone Select, then get 16 modes per zone (for a total of 48 modes).
If you were crafty (and depending on the intended use), you could make it into a Model 2 or 3 radio and program it the same (3 zones of 16 channels). Operationally, there would be no difference. However, you could assign mode names, so if you placed it into an XTVA with the display mic, you'd see channel names.
