XTS FPP with Dongle Question

Post by RESCUE161 »

I need to have trunking and would like to have FPP. Radio is an XTS2500 with FW R15. I realize that I can't have Q52 and Q53 with trunking, but can I have just Q52 with trunking and just use a dongle?

What about just Q53 and trunking, like on the APX line?

Thanks.

FPP of any type is mutually exclusive with trunking in the ASTRO25 platform.

Q53 needs the dongle, Q52 does not... You can have Q52 FPP function in a radio with trunking as long as the Host and CPS used is R09.xx.xx or lower.. If you have Q52 without Q53 in a radio, and the host/CPS is above R09.xx.xx, then you won't have FPP as a selection in your menu items any longer.

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
