Radios for a Type I trunking

Post by Spatch713 »

Out of curiosity what radios (prefer radios produced after the year 2000) are capable of working on a 800 Type I trunking system?

Specifically, can any of the XTS series radios do this? I understand flashing has a lot to do with this but I am wondering if Motorola even markets/supports such old systems.

I think your best bet would be a properly flashed MTS2000.

Would you happen to know what flash codes I should look for?

As long as the radio has H45 SmartNet Type I Features in the flashcode you should be good to go.
