MTX 9000 DTMF Conversion

Post by Big BOB »

Does anyone have a codeplug for a MTX 9000 with a DTMF front cover? I don't see anything about it on the board except HT 1000 and I am not sure if it is the same thing. I would appreciate any help.

MTX9000 DTMF

Hi Bob,

As far as I know, the MTX9000 does not have a DTMF option available - you would need to get the B7 version to have a keypad for DTMF dialing. The B3 and B5 versions will dial from memory, but can't be front-panel dialed. If you only occasionally need DTMF dial, you might find it easier and cleaner to build something that attaches like a speaker-mic.

The HT1000 has a DTMF front cover option, but this is a very different controller (even though the cases are identical). Since the DTMF is generated by the controller, not by the front cover itself, putting an HT1000 DTMF front onto an MTX won't help.
