MLF6000A 900 Mhz rack mount Duplexer

Post by W6JK »

Has anyone here used the MLF6000A 900 Mhz rack mount Duplexer on a 902/927 pair? I'd like to know if it will tune down that far, and if there are any problems with the wide split.

Lots of curiousity, but no info, so I'll pass on what I've learned so far in case it helps anyone:

The Motorola MLF & TLF6000 duplexers were used in the MR92 series
point to point radios.

Their specs are as follows:

Frequency range 952-960 MHz
Frequency Separation 3.6 MHz
Isolation 75 dB
Insertion loss 1.2 dB
Maximum power input 50 Watts

There's (another) one on eBay now.

I did a google search and found and found one reference to a ham selling one of these already tuned to a 902/927 split. See below:

Thanks for digging that up. It doesn't really say he ever had it on the air, but it's an encouraging sign.
