XPR6550 no open squelch monitor / no monitor at all???

Hello, all. I have the purple button set to 'Monitor' for short press and unassigned for long press, but when I press the button on any analog channel, I get the default beep like the button is unprogrammed instead of getting the monitor symbol on the screen or any audible open squelch. Also, I cannot find the setting in the CPS where I can select either "Open squelch" or "Silent". I see it in the help topics but can't find it anywhere in the CPS. Help???

If I recall if your admit criteria is set to anything besides Always, then the monitor button won't work

I only have the Vertex DMR CPS in front of me right now but its almost identicle, you pick your Monitor type under General Settings, little drop down box lets you pick Open Squelch or Silent

That's where I thought it should be as well, but it is definitely not there. Latest CPS and latest FW on the radio. No matter what button I assign to "Monitor" I just get the default "donk" sound like it is unprogrammed...?!?!!
