XPR5550 remote head - dimensions/console faceplate

Post by tvsjr »

Does anyone have experience with the XPR5550 in remote configuration? I have a few on order that need to be mounted in Havis consoles, but Havis does not have a specific bracket made for them. Has anyone does this and might know which bracket to use? If not, is the head the same size as an O5?

When I put a 5550 in my truck, I used a 4550 faceplate to mount it. It did take some modifying to get it to fit right, but it did work. It seemed like the 5550 was a bit bigger than the 4550. I had to do some grinding down to it to get it to fit right. It was not a remote mount setup though.
