MotoTRBO VHF 600 Khz Frequency Separation

Post by w2ip »

Is any group using a VHF XPR8300 MotoTRBO Repeater with a 600 Khz (.6 Mhz) frequency separation ? Assuming a 4 or 6 cavity Band Pass-Band Reject Duplexer is utilized. Any or no success comments welcome.

I've worked on plenty of duplex high band systems all the way down to 300kc separation, analog and digital. I've not seen the modulation type really matter, except at dense RF sites with many transmitters. As long as you have sufficient isolation to protect your reciever and allow effecient TX you're golden.

Standard site practices apply. at 600kc I would recommend 6 cavity if you can source one.
