CPS Out of band hacking.

Post by cahighwayman22 »

Has anyone attempted to to hack the CPS for out of band use yet? Esentially taking a "T" split (450-520) radio down to 440? The info I've come across seems to be very little.

gday mate, their is another post further down the list that i posted a long time ago that has the way to do it :) i found the info on another site via google too , i know it works as my friend has used it to make his 450-527 work on 430-527 for ham use he also saved the codeplug as a file after editing all the lower band edges from 450 to 430 wich is then used as a template whenever he wants to edit something. as once modified the codeplug holds the modified band edges.

Anyone have an answer for this? I'm trying to get a 450-520 radio to work in 440.
