Astro 25 Portable 17.00.00 Release

Post by KDN »

17.00.00 was release on MOL, December 21st, in the readme file the following reads:

New CPS Features Supported:
=============================
- Increase the number of zones & channels on the XTS 1500 / 2500 Model 1.5.
XTS 1500 now supports 16 Zones / 256 Channels
XTS 2500 Model 1.5 now supports 16 zones / 256 channels

Does this mean it will be available when 17.00.00 firmware is release?

It should. However you will probably need to have an 8 meg controller.

Wasn't there a note with the last V16 firmware release that said that was it for FW updates for the 4meg radios? Something to do with no more available memory to add anything more?

Yep, the 4 meggers are stuck at R09 host. The DSP can be upgraded, however.

I believe they have released some later versions of R09 for the 4 meggers to address bugs, but that's all. No more features.
