Modacom-Quantar for P25?

Hi,

I own a Quantar that had been used for a German mobile data system called Modacom. It was some 4FSK-System, and the Quantar has a print "DataTAC" on it. This is the controller: http://dk5ras.dyndns.org/tmp/TTN5128C06.jpg

As far as I am informed it should be possible to convert the unit into a P25 capable ham repeater. Bandsplit is OK, I assume it is just a matter of firmware...

Any ideas?
