XTS5000R DTMF Mic enable problem

Postby k5hdm » Sun Sep 23, 2012 6:02 pm

Hi,
I was recently setting up a VHF XTS5000R Model 3 (I've had it for 4 years but just now noticed this) to have the DTMF Mic enabled. That's in Conventional Personality under the TX Options tab.. It kinda goes a step beyond "Hot Keypad" and enables the keypad even without the PTT pressed.. Well, I had this enabled on an XTS2500i and wanted to enable it on my 5000 but this option is grayed out on the menu, but Hot Keypad is available. Is this not available on the XTS5000's for some reason? Or any idea why it might be grayed out? Any info/suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!
