XTL5000 Dash Mount and VRS750

XTL5000 Dash Mount and VRS750

I feel like I know the answer to this but I wanted to confirm...

There is no way to interface a VRS750 to a dash mount XTL5000 is there? I seem to recall hearing that it was for remote mount units only, but I haven't been able to locate the thread through searching. I have very limited remote-mount space in a new vehicle.
