DES-XL & XTS3500

I have an xts3500 that is equiped with a des-xl/des-ofb module. It works great in astro mode in both xl and ofb. In analog it takes approx 10-15 seconds to start decoding. The person on the other end hears me fine when I tx but I only hear him after 10-15 sec's. In that time frame it starts off like garbage until it gets progressivly clear.

Any Idea's ??? :-?
