What radios do you own?: Motorola, Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu

For some reason it escapes me, but if the W7 is the full head with DTMF, then yes they do. We have several of them in the shop right now for a county-wide project and if you can wait till Monday, I can get you a part number.

The XTL5000 Dual Control Head Retrofit Kits enable the conversion of a remote mount mobile to work as a Dual configuration. This feature provides the capability of controlling the same radio from two different locations within the operating apparatus. There is a choice of retrofitting a W4, W5, W7, or W9 mobile. The retrofit kit contains a microphone. There are three categories of required accessories that provide the flexibility of choosing which appropriate products are to be ordered based on the individual needs. This configuration is NOT compatible with dash mount mobiles.
It is required to select the same control head as the radio currently has in operation. The dual configuration will NOT be functional if trying to use two different control heads. For example, if a remote mount mobile with a W9 control head is being operated and there is a desire to convert this mobile to a dual configuration, a W9 retrofit (H1761) is the only dual retrofit kit that will allow for the dual operation of this unit. This is due to unique software programming of the rear control head.

DUAL CONTROL HEAD W9 RETROFIT KIT H1761
DUAL CONTROL HEAD W4 RETROFIT KIT H1762
DUAL CONTROL HEAD W5 RETROFIT KIT H1763
DUAL CONTROL HEAD W7 RETROFIT KIT H1764

REQUIRED Dual Control Head Accessories

It is required to select one option from each of the following three accessory categories:

1. Rear Cables (One of the following cables is required to operate the Dual Configuration):

ADD: CABLE, DUAL CONTROL HEAD 40 FT G829

2. Speakers (The original radio selected adds one speaker and the G832, G831 adds a second speaker so the dual option will ship with two speakers. The W87 removes both speakers from the configuration):

ADD: SPEAKER, 13W WATER RESISTANT DUAL CONTROL HEAD G831

ADD: DUAL CONTROL HEAD 7.5 WATT WATER RESISTANT SPEAKER G832

3. Audio Pod (One of the following audio pods is required to operate the dual configuration. The G839 is required if operating DEKs with the Dual Configuration.)
