XTS3000 MDC1200

Post by gatekeep »

I'm considering purchasing an XTS3000. I'm aware its has an older HOST/DSP. Here is the information about the radio:

HOST R05.52.03.00
DSP N06.04.12
Flashcode 100004-000000-4

Now, I'm not sure if the XTS3000 comes with MDC1200 standard (its a low-split UHF), or if it needs to be flashed in. What is the lowest HOST that supports MDC1200 encode/decode?

The radio more than likely will tx mdc1200 but with that flashcode its not going to decode it.

Right my question is does the HOST in this particular radio support option H14 (Digital ID Display)? Does the radio need Q181 to Tx MDC1200?

if you're looking to tx MDC1200, than yes, it should (99.9999% positive). i've never heard of a non-MDC tx'ing motorola astro portable...

as far as RX and decoding MDC1200, you MAY need other flash options...

ID display is an additional flash option.
