XTS4000 Keyloading
Can the XTS4000 be keyloaded with a 3011DX KVL? If so, does anybody know the proper pins that need to be used for the KVL and the radio?
Thanks!!

Yes a DX KVL works. I have used mine on it. Purchase the KVL cable, that is my suggestion.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to have a source for a XTS4000 to KVL cable?

I got mine from Motorola, you dont fnd much XTS4000 stuff on the open market.
I believe the part number is 0182297T15 and retail is $120, dealer cost is in the $80s.

Re: XTS4000 Keyloading
Wasted another hour messing with this tonight. I'm used to building cables. Have for almost every radio I own.... but something is messed with this KVL -> 4000 one I'm making. It may be my nextel side connecter and I'm going to start again with a fresh one.
Would someone take a few minutes to meter out the correct pin connections? It would be much appreciated.

I will be home tomorrow and can ohm out the cable. I'll post the results.

Got the cable but I have to go out of town for the weekend. Do you still need me to ring it out?

Re: XTS4000 Keyloading
Old thread bump.. anyone come up with a pinout for this?
I have a lopped-off XTS4000 serial programming cable connector in my hand. I count 17 pins total with 13 wires coming out.
This pinout is with the /\/\ logo on the connector head facing up, consistent with how it would plug into a Falcon-series iDen phone:
Ground - 1
Brown - 2
Red - 3 (large gauge)
---spacer---
Orange - 4
Yellow - 5
Green - 6
Red/White - 7
Blue - 8
Purple - 9
Gray - 10
Pink - 11
White - 12
Black - 13
