Its possible the radio was "bricked"by a dept that detected unauthorized user ID on their trunked system and send out the "RADIO INHIBIT"tx to the radio.Locking the radio, making it a brick.Only

way to unbrick is a trip to the Motorola Depot and Moto will not unbrick the radio if you can't prove you are the original owner of the radio and have a good reason the radio is "ZAPPED"in the first place.

Most likely, that radio was a confiscated radio...

What did you get when you tried to read the radio??On the pc screen as you used CPS?

Just my two cents.

Hmm, apparently this radio has been placed on Ebay and reported as fraud.

Just my two cents worth but it takes balls to say"The Radio is being sold for parts/non working/repair because I have no battery and no charger to test it with"when he admits here and on RR that he has a fully charged battery

to test the radio but says the exact opposite on Ebay.....Also using the same screen name on RR,Bat Labs and also on Ebay where he is trying to hock his goods!!LOL

Maybe "ALEX"will get rid of this guy and ban this guy....??

Don't need scam artist like this on this fine group.

My sentiments exactly, Ko. Screw this guy. I called him out on Radio Reference for the scam he's trying to pull on ebay, so he took the discussion over here.

Oh,no.....

I think the guy is at it again with that radio:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/250876902745

You won't be trying to sell the radio again in the same cond, would you??

Did you run the serial no trough NCIC using a source like

www.trace.com

Did you get the bricked radio issue cleared up??Or is it still in the same BRICKED,cond???

brokenstolenradios.com aka Ebay, interesting how his claims on RR say he bought it at a PD auction, yeah right.
so if that's the case, why wouldn't you just call them up and ask them to un-inhibit it? I mean he legally purchased it as surplus so why would it be inhibited?

I can only think of one way that a department would sell it at auction. If it was a confiscated radio that had been inhibited it was Illegally put on a system and zapped and found in the possession of someone who shouldnt have it. I know its a stretch.

Well,

I think only way to show the radio is working is for the seller to post a pic of the radio screen on and with a piece of paper to show his Ebay screen name.
