Upgrading XPR4550 Firmware 01.00.00

Postby overhere » Tue Apr 23, 2013 11:42 am

I have an old Motorola XPR4550 with firmware 01.00.01, and am trying to work out how to update it to the latest firmware? The update package I have from MOL will only update radios with R01.06.20 and higher, and I can't find anything on MOL about how to get a radio up to R01.06.20. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

the files that bring radios up to 1.06.20 are for repeaters only....if you had an old xpr8300 with very old firmware you would have to bring it up to version 1.06.20 first then you could upgrade to the latest firmware. As far as i know with protables and mobiles there are no restrictions like that. Just download the latest release of firmware and install on your computer, then open up CPS and update.
