XPR5550e - inactivity power off?

Post by sjxts3000 »

Is there an inactivity power off feature on the XPR mobiles like there is on APX? I can't seem to find it in the TRBO CPS and I've scoured the help file and old forums on this site as well. Maybe I'm missing it?

What radios do you own?: Not enough apparently!

The closest I believe would be the "ignition sense auto power down timer" found on the accessories page. You can tell the radio to shutdown after a specific time once 12 V is no longer present on the ignition sense line. If set for 0, it powers down right away but it can go all the way up to 840 minutes (14 hours). If set for On/Off or Ignition, you can still use the power button to turn the radio on and off but if that timer is set to anything other 0, the radio will power down once the timer expires, regardless of activity at the moment.

Thanks. I was hoping this could be configured without the use of ignition sense. Doesn't appear possible.

No problem. It appears the TRBO team doesn't talk to the APX team a whole lot! I'd love to have manual display brightness control and day/night mode on my APX7000 like I do on my XPR7550 but that probably won't happen.
