Hacking an SL7550 into an SL4000 with depot

So, I have got an SL7550 to my hands and I'm about to change its firmware version from AA version to EMEA version. This change is somewhat needed and useful, since all my other Motorola DMR-radios are EMEA, so the CPS is also EMEA version. It is still next to impossible to have two instanced of different region CPS installed on the same computer (which is a pain in the buttox)
Only thing that bothers me is this: The TANAPA number of the SL7550 is PMUE3877ABCNAB and the Model is AAH81QCN9NA2AN. The EMEA version firmware includes versions PMUE3877AA, or BA or CA on the end, while the model remains the same (of course with the exception of first 2 letters on the model number).
So here is the question: If the TANAPA number is different by 2 letters, ie. PMUE3877ABCNAB vs PMUE3877AA vs. PMUE3877BA vs. PMUE3877CA, what it means?
And sure I know, i'm completely on my own when making such hacks. I know. But before I attempt to go forward, I'd like to know if here is others that have done the same trick?
