Hello,

I have an XTVA installed. When I insert an XTS3000 (with battery matching compatibility list) the radio re-boots and stays in "self test." It appears the XTVA is booting properly as per the instructions. When the radio is inserted the red charging light does come on. Using both the red and yellow leads for power.

Could anyone offer some insight?

You left a lot of info out of your post.
Are the red and yellow leads hooked up to the proper sources?
Red should be +12V constant and Yellow lead should be +12V ignition.
Are you using a HHCH with the XTVA?
What is the XTS3000 Firmware level at?
Does the XTS3000 complete self test while not inserted in the XTVA?
