XTL-5000 question

I recently acquired an XTL-5000 UHF with a W7 head. Can I use a W9 head in its place without a lot of fuss (board swap?). If so do I just change the head type in the CPS?? Thanks in advance

If it is remote mount just change the control head type in the CPS, correct the button layout and mode names (make them longer if you want) and put on the W9 head.

If it is dashmount you will need to add the remote mount parts obviously.
