XTL5000 O3 high power what cable needed?

Post by radiocat37 »

I have an XTL5000 110W high power VHF unit that I want to use it with an O3 head. The HHCH changes channels just fine and all the buttons work. The thing is how and where do I get speaker audio and have an accessory connector? I saw a Motorola PMLN4959A cable and am wondering if that is it? I also saw the mic extension cable which I am going to get if I can solve this mystery speaker cable thing. It programs just fine with the front center round port.

Thanks in advance

Chris Griffin: That would explain all the gravity.

Lois: Peter, you're drunk again.
Peter: No, I'm just exhausted because I've been up all night drinking.

if you are using the Motorola PMLN4959A Accessory Connector Cable Extension

you will need the Motorola HLN6863 Ignition/Speaker Connection breakout cable

The PMLN4959A cable is what I was looking for. Thanks

FYI - Even without the extension cable you will still need the HLN6863 cable.

high power radio, without the PMLN4959 there will be no way to interface it entirely. can use DB25 on the tib if you want to build your own
