HELP!

I bought a Motorola APX 7000 XE Model 1. The radio turns on then says self test and then immediately shuts off. I have tried different fully charged batteries and it does the same thing. Any ideas?

Hate to say this... but ALT/DEV junk? Where did you buy it from and was the seller "reputable"?

Reputable seller; has legit tags with matching serial and matching flaschode. The seller claims it as working fine when he shipped it.

Can you post more info about the radio like firmware version, secure version, MACE version, etc?

The legit way to get the radio uninhibited is to have the system that inhibited the radio uninhibit it.

This leads me to believe the radio may be a lost/stolen radio and you should go back after the seller for a refund. (or cut your losses and contact the authorities)

if it is inhibited, you should still be able to read the radio, and the CPS will tell you the radio is inhibited, and to contact the system owner/manager.
the only ways to uninhbit (properly) is to have the one who sent the passive/selective inhibit command to undo it, or to send the radio to the depot.

As others have said, you should contact the seller and start a claim thru Ebay to get your money back.
