APX 7000 Bluetooth WRSM odd problem

Post by zamsler »

Greetings all!

Picked up an APX 7000 with bluetooth. I also got the WRSM.
The PTT on the WRSM does nothing. I had to assign the orange button to bluetooth PTT. Which works on the WRSM, but I have lost a button.

I tested my WRSM on a buddy's radio and it worked. Then his WRSM on my radio, it did not work.

We have been through any kind if setting that could be related with no avail. My understanding is that the WRSM should be pair and go.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of this issue?

Thanks!

Mine was pair and go, no programming required.
Schrodinger's Radio: It is simultaneously too loud and too quiet, but you will never know which until someone transmits.

There are firmware updates to the WRSMs I would try that a least.

"Pair-n-go" just means you pair the WRSM to the radio. The mapping of the buttons still depends on what the codeplug has for the settings in "Radio Ergonomics Configuration --> Controls --> Accessory Buttons". So go there and check your codeplug.
