MCC7500 & VOIP audio arbitration

Post by PsyberEMT »

We are getting ready to migrate part of the non-emergency comms in our center from our 911 ANI/ALI phone system onto our Shoretel VOIP system that our admin lines are on. We've got our local MSS and Shoretel scratching their heads with regards to arbitrating audio between our MCC7500 and the Shoretel system so we can run them through the same headset with PTT mute. Those lines are currently on a Pallas VESTA system that is wired into the MCC7500 for arbitration. No one can seem to figure out how to get the same signals out from the Shoretel handsets or softphones to accomplish the same goal. Anyone have any experience? Know of any 3rd party devices that will accomplish the goal?

Though the 7500 supports SIP, the consoles may need to be upgraded with those entitlements, and possibly firmware to support it. Your MSS should contact MOT tech support.
