Hi guys, I found a couple of visars (HO5UCD6CB1AN Type II trunking radios) and I am wondering if these radios will take a conventional channel or will they take only trunking talkgroups? I have not play with that software in at least 10 years, I thank you in advance for any advice.

Requires RVN-4123 Visar Privacy Plus DOS based programming software and is trunking only.

Allen

In my experience generally speaking any radio that will do(insert type)trunking will also do conventional

Allen is correct that the trunking Visar will not do conventional.
I have a Type II Visar that I used from time to time prior to rebanding and it does not do conventional.
