The radio has the ability to have an aux mic input and the PTT lines on the DB25 accessory connector, along with a ground wire.

Depending on the mic you use, there is a gain adjustment in the software just for the aux mic.

I don't have the service manual in front of me, but I also think there is a speaker connection also available on the DB25 accessory connector. Just make sure that you don't ground either side of the speaker wires.

Now your really confusing the rest of us. The CDM mobiles don't use a speaker mic. They use a normal hand mic with a modular plug like an 8 pin RJ11 type connector. Either that or you have me confused in what your trying to describe.

If you PM or email me your email address, I can send you a PDF of the mic connections.

Sorry Guys

J11 plug handmic is what I was referring to. Anyways, According to the DB25 pinout on the PM1500 radio I need to connect the handmic to this DB25. I need to know which handmic pins go to which DB25 connector. I have 4 fire engines that want speakers & mics at the pump panel. Also, Would cat5 or cat6 wire work well with this advanture ?
thanks
