Motorola antenna mounts

Postby kmoose » Fri Aug 12, 2005 10:47 am

Pardon my ignorance, but I have to ask this question....

Does anyone know if the TAD6290 antenna sits on an NMO mount? In other words......if we wanted to switch antenna elements, could we just buy elements designed for NMO mounts, and slap them on?

I'm not familiar with the TAD you speak of, but as for NMO units, yes, you can put what ever band antenna you want on the same mount, they are totally universal.

They're totally universal, excepting some of the high-frequency (GHz range) mounts which ARE NMO but are also a bit different.
