Chevy Silverado/Tahoe/Avalance installs?

Post by Rayjk110 »

Does anyone have any recommendations as far as installs go for 2003-2006 Silverado/Tahoe/Avalance trucks?

More specifically the Sliverado, but the interiors look basically the same from the front seats forward to the dash to a point.

What year, what model, what interior package, and what are you installing?

They are all pretty straight foward.

'04 Silverado Z71 extended cab. Would like to do at least 3 radios, currently looking at this http://www.havis.com/products/CON_VS_12 ... 55-64.html

BUT - I don't know what kind of depth I'd be dealing with. IE, will a Maxtrac/CDM/BCT scanner fit? Don't want to order then find out the hard way...

See my post over at HS, however..

Under my console, I have a Kantronics KPC3+, ICOM2800, Motorola speaker, guts to the Cencom, plus the two sets of cables for the Orion radio. My control heads are not that deep, but there is a decent amount of space under my jotto.

Havis/Troy: 12" of faceplates in the slanted console
Jotto: 14" of faceplaces in the angled console (7 top, 7 flat)

Ive got an 07 Tahoe LTZ. Used a console from Jotto Desk. Easy install (2 screws). Put in a dual radio/single control head Orion, a Yaesu FT 857, and a drink holder. Works and looks real nice.
