relay recommendation for DEK VIP siren horn ring transfer

Post by adlertom »

I need to make up a bunch of cables for siren horn ring transfer (doing a fleet of 20 squads), and was curious to know what relay brand/part # you learned installers use.

Perhaps a relay with a diode already installed to protect the DEK from back EMF? Perhaps an inline wiring design? Any recommendations and good supplier source leads would be appreciated.

Tom,
We use stander BASCH relays from tessco. We have not had to use diods on the siren deks with out any problems. Any 12VDC relay should work.
