CDM1250 w/remote head dead

Post by blackandblue »

I have a CDM1250 installed in the trunk of one of our cruisers. I have the remote head installed in the dash. The radio needs to come out for repair. Can I swap in a standard radio temporarily into the trunk and just plug the remote cable in and get it to work? I don't really want to swap over the remote head. I need this car on the road with a working radio. Any help would be appreciated.

What radios do you own?: Too many for the time I have.

I believe that is all you have to do; the head is kinda dumb; just does what the main chassis tells it to.
