XTVA Fail 01/90

Hi, I've got a XTVA with a HHCH that is not working with one of my XTS5000's. It's a VHF MII with host 12.00.11 and DSP 12.00.01 and programmed with CPS R12.01.00. When I place the radio in the XTVA, the light on the HHCH is solid green and the display reads Fail 01/90. The XTVA works fine with my 800 MIII and UHF MI. I've tried two different housings on the VHF and both show the same error. Any ideas?

Don't know for certain, but FL 01/90 indicates control head unable to talk to radio. I'd guess damaged flex/accessory connector on the radio - the head is powering up but can't talk to the radio.

That was my first thought, but I've reseated the flex and tried two different housings and still no go.

taking the housing from the known working radio will either confirm or deny the problem is with the housing. try that next.

Well I switched the housing with my known working 800 housing and still getting FAIL 01/90. The other thing I forgot to mention is that when the radio is placed in the XTVA, the battery is charging and the back-light on the radio is on, so the radio is sensing being in the XTVA, just not communicating with the HHCH.

I would try another controller in the radio. You have ruled out just about everything else.
