CDM1550ls **MDC issues on conventional ch

CDM1550ls **MDC issues on conventional ch

I have a CDM1550ls, and I discovered I cannot add an MDC system on the conventional channels. I have heard the rumor that with the latest firmware upgrade...Moto fixed this and allowed access to MDC on conv. Any truth to this?

Yes that is correct, but only for the ls+ versions. I am in the middle of upgrading one of mine to see if it will actualy do it. The upgrade is also supposed to bring the conventional channels up to 160 like the 1550 portable. Costs about $150.00

So is this only a firmware upgrade that any MSS can handle?

No Most upgrades for the waris series radios must be done at th depot, But if you have an older 1550ls you are out of luck...

upgrade is only available for the 1500LS+
