Able 2 halogen microthins....thoughts?
I'm contemplating getting a set of these for my pushbar to act as secondary fog lights, or running lights.
Only reason I'm thinking these is they are low-profile and and would look good on the Rhino pushbar without pissing off the brass, but would add visibility.

You have to watch the mounting hardware on many of these style lamps. Most use galvanized brackets that chip the coating when tightened- yes....even the Tomar PAR36 series rusts! I've been bitchin at them to change to stainless brackets (and they actually talked to me several times about this problem).
Before purchasing a light for exterior use, chack and see what the mounting hardware is made of.

Well, the halogen bulbs use 13.8 volts. The strobes use in the neighborhood of 800+ volts. So, no.Glenn wrote:As you guys are talking about halogen lighting, I have a question. Can you use halogen lights with strobe power supplies? Will they function properly? Thanks.......................

Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

NO. No offense, but go back to "Warning Lights 101". Strobe and halogen are as imcompatible as Cowthief and a brain.

I have a pair of Halogen Hella 500 Series from when I had the Yukon. I 2 pairs of the 550 series on it and never got around to adding these. Black polycarbonate housing, GLASS lense, brackets and stone shield. no bulbs (will handle up to 100w each lamp)
They 6 inch round and very bright - would make great euro style lights on the impala.
$35 for the pair and they are yours

Sorry Alex....I didn't see the reply until now. Believe this or not, I had a set of 550 driving lights mounted on the Rhino. I don't think they were on the car when I saw you...they were huge on the front of that car! Anyway, they are on my Caprice now.
I got a set of Hella FF75's a couple days ago and mounted them now.
PM about yours anyway....the woman is getting an Exploder and I can use them on her brushguard.
