Is there a way to keep the pager on and operating in the amplified charger without charging the battery continuously or without the battery present?

Not to the best of my knowledge. We do keep pagers locked in an amplified chargers but if you ever to take them out they would not last a minute. We have placed “dead” batteries in the pagers and they seem to work fine. But again these are pagers that are part of an alerting system and are never removed.

I agree we had the same situation, using the pager as a siren controller. Had to change the batteries every couple of years.
