From my understanding is that it only works with an established data system and it won't work simplex between two computers.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Hey Robert, if that was the case that it have to have a data system, maybe u can ask Kazaa to make a system

The new AstroKazaa server haha

But seriously, I do agree with PJ, I would think also, that you will need a system to link in to work, pretty much like the MDT they have, or is it called MDC now? ehh either way

The "Astro Packet Data" option won't do any good unless you have the Motorola Integrated Voice & Data system. It costs plenty, and is intended to serve a large trunked or conventional radio system.

When you enable packet data on a conventional personality, the radio will try and log in to the IV&D system several times. Unless it receives a positive response from the system, all packet data operation will inhibited.

Hmmm... now to dive in that program... are there manuals that can be ordered? Something with some sort of details?
