You mean your radio displays the raw MDC ID (like 1234) instead of what you have named 1234 in the radio?

Well, the astro saber and xts both don't do that - they just display the raw ID.

That is what I mean...it would appear that the raw MDC ID is displayed by the radio...

The rss indicates that the radio CAN do reverse aliasing based upon what is entered in the call list.

The call list is entered correctly for ID and Alpha TEXT tag...

The ID button is checked...yet the radio refuses to alias the MDC ID....

Why then would the RSS indicate that the radio CAN do something it cannot as per your last post....??

Thanks

A fine question, but Jay is 100% correct- the ASIII will not reverse alias. I initially had trouble believing it too but, after some serious quality time on the phone with /\/\ I came to accept that reverse aliasing just was not going to happen (just like QCII signaling  )

However.....

Departments such as LAPD who use the Soft ID feature, you may see interesing unit ID's that the cops program into the radios in ASTRO mode.

When I was out there, I saw quite a few "interesting" ID's on my display. Goons, BadBoys, La8ter and a slew of other one's were in use. When talking to Alex in digital mode, we will see each other's name or callsign on the display.
