Was asked to help out with a volunteer EMS agency with station equipment. They need to have certain equipment in the station operate in a particular sequence when they are toned out.
Rather then hack a Minitor , I was considering the Genave RXC2000 controller http://www.genave.com/rxc-2000_specs.htm. The unit looks fairly good & will do what I want, without all sorts of hacks. Does anyone have suggestions on other vendors/units I should consider? I don't think Motorola has anything thats a commercial off the shelf (COTS) system.
BTW, the control issue will be addressed by a Square D PLC controller. This way I can be sure it will fail safe (IE remote truck engine start will *not* occur unless plymovent is running & sail switch in stack operated). PLC will also open contactor supplying power for the electric range, solenoid for compressed air feed to truck air receiver, and turn on bay lights, apron lights, etc. It also gives a few options with time of day, delay between tone & sequence start, an abort switch, & local lockout.

I asked for a single unit quote on Monday, still no reply. Did download the programming kit (free) & have had a chance to read the manual.
Aparently the RXC2000 has several options such as "local PA on", and extra "zones" that are addressable via DTMF befoe or after original activation.
Also looked at the PDF for the FedSig informer (600 ohm out, with relay option), waiting for a quote on that as well.

Here's the reply from Genave:
The cost of the RXC-2000 is $1687.00. Easytone Software (PSK-125) is $125.00.
We can program the unit before shipping if you supply the tone/DTMF codes and relay actions you need. We then include the program on a disk with unit so you can use it as a base to quickly make any changes.
Please feel free to contact me if I can assist in any way.
Best Regards,
Steve Nelson
