uhf spectra

i have a uhf spectra 450-482 . i nned to monitor some channels in the 501 range . do i have any options ?

What radios do you own?: Motorola, Icom, Sunair (HF).

Best option: A second receiver, perhaps a scanner. The Spectra front ends roll off very sharply above and below their specified bandsplit.

I saw your other post on the m1225 also. You need to get something that is T-band in order to monitor traffic in the 501 MHz range....

while i realize it may be costly, upgrade to a CDM1250 or CDM1550 - These radios do 450-512 with no problem!

Yeah, it's nice to have that spread. We've got mainly 45x.xxxMHz freqs but also need three 501.xxx freqs and though I love the Spectra there's no room for two so the one CDM fits nicely. Dare I say it, the CDM also appears to Rx ever so slightly better than my Spectras.
