Spectra A5 and siren

Can the A5 head be programed to run the PA/siren feature? The RSS seams to allow it? Or is a DEK needed.

Yes it can be as long as the option is enabled and connected to the radio. Downside is I beleive you can only use the top row buttons above the display. If you put all your siren functions there you won't have room for anything else.

I would recomend a DEK box. At least that way you can have all the siren functions and be able to configure whatever you like on the rest of the buttons above the display. The best bet if you want to control the siren from the control head would to have an A7 or A9 control configuration.

Thanks. I only need a few functions and space in this install is tight. A& would be greate but I have never changed a code plug. Would need to get an A7 head and then an A& code plug, correct?
