XTS5000 No Display & HHCH

Post by rgvfed »

I have an XTS5000 VHF Apco 25 secure but without a display. I am installing an MTVA for it and wonder if the HHCH will work with it or if needs to have a display in order to work with the HHCH?

i believe when i scanned the XTVA manual that the PLNxxxx mic stated that it was ONLY compatible with model 2 and 3 (display) radios.

if you think about it, it makes sense -- the xtva has no memory...your model 1 radio has no way to display mode names/zones/menus, etc... so there is no way for the mic to retrieve info from the radio that doesn't exist...
