Usage time of AS

Post by download »

Newib, Astro III 1700mAh DIY battery used time too short for me.
7 hrs + 4 hrs with low battery icon. ( Standy only, no TX )
Is it normal for it?
Is there any way to extend the battery life?
Thanks a lot....

Get a new battery and take care of it.

This is brand new 1700mAh DIY Li-ion battery.
I just wonder why the standy time is so short, did it have any power save mode I could set?
Or it is normal using time of ASIII.

Thanks again.

What's a DIY battery? The only DIY I know is do-it-yourself.

Go buy a Motorola OEM battery in whatever capacity you desire.

For a 1700mah battey on an astro, it depends.... when I had a 512k, older ver. astro, it suck battery like nothing, at most I got was 5 hours or 7 and that was with a 2700mah,

now with a newer astro I have now, with a 2100mah battery from Multiplier I get about ohhhh 8 hours? or sooo that is Good....
probably 10% TX and most of the time just RXing...

7 hour is good, so I wouldnt complain as its only 1700mah, go for something higher like 2700mah
